What Is a DNP Scholarly Project, Statistically?

A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) scholarly project is fundamentally different from a PhD dissertation, even though both are doctoral-level work: a DNP project demonstrates a practice improvement (implementing and evaluating a change in clinical practice) rather than producing an original theoretical contribution to a field. That distinction shapes the statistics directly. DNP projects usually analyse pre/post intervention data or quality-improvement metrics from a specific practice site, not a large research sample built to test a general theory.

Common DNP Statistical Methods

Because DNP projects are practice-focused rather than theory-focused, they tend to use a smaller, more applied set of tests:
