Ignoring assumption checks. Running a test and reporting the p-value without checking whether its assumptions actually held is the single most common source of lost marks.
Not saving syntax or documenting steps. Without a record of exactly what you ran, reproducing or explaining your own analysis later becomes unnecessarily hard.
Treating output as self-explanatory. SPSS output tables assume you already know which row and column to read; guessing instead of learning the correct one leads to real interpretation errors.
